The prestigious 16th Edition of the Sansad Ratna Awards 2026 ceremony was celebrated on the evening of 9th September 2026 at Bhim Hall, Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath, New Delhi. Organised by the Prime Point Foundation, this landmark event brought together distinguished lawmakers, constitutional jurists, policymakers, educators, and citizens from across India.
Eminent Guests of Honour
The grand celebration was graced by an illustrious panel of Chief Guests and presiding leaders:
- Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister for Coal and Mines (Chief Guest)
- Dr Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region (Chief Guest)
- Justice Shri B.R. Gavai, Former Chief Justice of India (Chief Guest)
- Shri Hansraj Ahir, Former Chairman of NCBC, former Union MoS for Home Affairs, and Chairman of the Sansad Ratna Jury Committee (Presiding Dignitary)

Celebrating Democratic Excellence
During this edition, 10 individual Members of Parliament and 4 Parliamentary Standing Committees were conferred the prestigious Sansad Ratna Awards for exemplary, data-backed contributions to parliamentary proceedings, legislative debates, and institutional scrutiny.
Marking a milestone in institutional recognition, this year also witnessed the launch of the ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Jan Seva Puraskar’ to honour outstanding organisations dedicated to public service. The inaugural award was proudly presented to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC).
Heartwarming Musical Prelude & Full Rendition of Vande Mataram
The evening began on an uplifting, patriotic note with an enchanting musical prelude performed by the young schoolchildren of R.S. Junior Modern School, New Delhi. In the presence of Union Ministers, judges, and award-winning MPs, the young pupils held the audience spellbound with an inspiring medley of patriotic songs.
A major highlight was their complete, three-minute rendition of India’s national song, Vande Mataram. Rendered with flawless pronunciation, clarity, and deep patriotic emotion, their performance drew spontaneous praise, admiration, and thunderous applause from the entire hall. In recognition of their dedication, the Principal and music teachers of the school were specially invited to the dais and felicitated by the Chief Guests.
