On the evening of 9th September 2026, the Bhim Hall at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi bore witness to a grand celebration of democratic accountability and legislative excellence: the 16th Edition of the Sansad Ratna Awards 2026. This historic convocation crossed the landmark milestone of 150 presentations since the awards were instituted in 2010 on the direct suggestion of former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

Dignitaries and Keynote Addresses
The convocation was addressed by distinguished leaders from the judiciary, legislature, and executive:
- Welcome Address: Adv. Priyadharshni Rahul, Chairman of the Sansad Ratna Awards Committee, welcomed the gathering, noting that Sansad Ratna has evolved into a nationwide festival celebrating transparent governance.
- Introductory Address: Prime Point Srinivasan, Founder Chairman of Prime Point Foundation and Sansad Ratna Awards, reflected upon the 16-year evolution of the awards, the growth of the non-partisan Sansad Ratna Parivar, and formally announced the leadership transition entrusting the foundation's mantle to Adv. Priyadharshni Rahul.
- Messages of Felicitations: Dr Bhartruhari Mahtab, MP and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, read out felicitations from former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind and the Chief Ministers of Assam and Sikkim.
- Presidential Address: Jury Chairman Shri Hansraj Ahir outlined the rigorous, objective evaluation of parliamentary data derived from official records that ensures absolute sanctity.
- Keynote Address: Former Chief Justice of India, Justice B. R. Gavai, underscored the constitutional equilibrium between the legislature and the judiciary, highlighting how vigorous debate and disagreement enrich legislation.
- Special Address: Guest of Honour Dr Sukanta Majumdar, Union Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region, lauded the awards as an embodiment of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and urged youth to engage actively in public life.
- Chief Guest Address: Chief Guest Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, drew upon four decades in public service, urging parliamentarians to uphold decorum and unite across political divides on matters of national welfare and sovereignty.

9 सितंबर 2026 को डॉ. आंबेडकर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय केंद्र, नई दिल्ली में आयोजित 16वें संसद रत्न पुरस्कार 2026 समारोह ने अपने 150 सम्मान पूरे करने के ऐतिहासिक मील के पत्थर को पार किया। इस कार्यक्रम में आर.एस. जूनियर मॉडर्न स्कूल के बच्चों द्वारा 'वंदे मातरम्' की सुमधुर प्रस्तुति, प्राइम पॉइंट फाउंडेशन की तीन नई ई-पुस्तकों का विमोचन, तथा भारत के पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश न्यायमूर्ति बी. आर. गवई, केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री जी. किशन रेड्डी, केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री डॉ. सुकांत मजूमदार, जूरी अध्यक्ष श्री हंसराज अहीर एवं डॉ. भर्तृहरि महताब के प्रेरणादायी उद्बोधन शामिल रहे।
